Congratulation to our friends and BT breeders in Finland, Erik and Sirje, from Braslights Kennel, for they affords and success with Shandy.
These pictures show two people that I have deep admiration and respect for the wonderful work they did and have been doing with the Brazilian Terriers. They are my friends Marcos Hotz and Marina Lerario Vicari, both are amazing Brazilian Judges for the Brazilian Terrier and wonderful Brazilian Terrier breeders. These people made history in the dog world in Brazil. I’m proud and glad to be they friends and be able to learn so much from them.

Congratulations my friends from the Regnator Kennel and Braslights kennel.
In a recent trip to Brazil I had a chance to visit my best friend, breeder and Judge of Brazilian Terrier Marcos Hotz.
Marcos Hotz also share his passion for dogs with the English Foxhound breed. He became a very large breeder, but is always shy regarding showing his dogs in show ring.
Marcos Imported Bucket, a pure breed English Foxhound from Canada (http://www.foxfels.ca/) and I was the person whom deliver this wonderful dog into his hands.

Pictures of Marcos Hotz's farm house.
I also end up importing another female of Brazilian Terrier, 100% Rancho Grande bloodline from Marcos Hotz Kennel.
Pixie do Rancho Grande is the newst adition to my kennel and she is amazing. I lover her lines, temperament and she is the sweetiest thing.
Pixie already melted into the pack and is doing great.

I found this two pictures at Marcos Hotz living room, which are hand painted heads from a male and a female that are no longer alive. These dogs are in many pedigree from Rancho Grande and were very special to Marcos Hotz. A personal friend gifted him this beautiful work. Nice touch for a dog owner.

After 7 litters I finally decide on sharing the ownership of an offspring from Cindy and Otis.
We got Lucky on this litter because Dinah is simply irresistible. She is super calm, well balance, harmonic and we have great hope for her future.
Patrick Mcguigan is Dinah co-owner and next year we are going to import another male so we can continue our breeding program.

Marina Vicari Lerario, a prominent Brazilian Terrier breeder, owner of Taboao Kennel, helped spread the Brazilian Terrier all over the world, like Portugal, Italy, Finland, Austria, France and others country. Marina can easily be called the Brazilian Terrier’s ambassador. She is one of the most active and effective people toward the Brazilian Terrier Breed and always make sure that the Breed’s image is well protected and safe.
Her e-mails are rich of great stories and I would like to share few of them in this section.
The first of them is the fact that her pupil, Pinguim do Taboao, did become stamp!!!
That’s right, she manage to have the picture of Pinguim do Taboao printed in a stamp!!!
The Brazilian post office did release the stamp celebrating 500 hundred years of the discovery of Brazil. Congratulation Marina; you are an example to be followed, and we are proud of you for been a great breeder and judge of the breed. You have done a lot for the development and improvement of the Brazilian Terrier. You give the breed the respect and value that it’s deserved.
This is the stamp with Pinguim do Taboao.
Another story that I would like to share is about a huge battle that Marina had with the Coca-Cola Company. At certain time, in Brazil, Coca-Cola made a TV commercial and posters to promote its product (Sprite) using the image of a Brazilian Terrier, implying that the dog on the commercial was a mutt!!! Believe it!!!
What do you thing when you see a pure breed dog and somebody tells you it is a mutt!!!
Marina didn’t think twice. She contacted lawyers and tried taking the company to the court, however the lawyers were afraid to fight against such large company and none of them wanted to represent her. However, Marina didn’t quit. She did contact the CONAR (Department that organizes and regalements the publicity in Brazil). Of course the commercial was re-evaluated and the Coca-Cola had to remove the TV commercial and posters all lover the country. It was the first time in the history that Coca-Cola lost a lot of money in Brazil with its publicity.
That’s right Marina. It‘s enough of the disrespect towards our Brazilian Terrier. Our breed deserves respect and I’m glad we have on as the soldier that fights for us.
I would like to express here my deep respect and admiration for Marina’s work and dedication toward the Brazilian Terrier Breed.
Congratulations for your conquests Marina.
